About

photographer + filmmaker + writer

I grew up in the Bible Belt, spent most of my 20s and 30s in NYC, then spent several years in a tiny village in southern coastal Albania, and am now back in Oklahoma.

I’m a graduate of the International Center of Photography’s Photojournalism Program and am in thesis for an MFA in Integrated Media Arts at Hunter College/CUNY. In the IMA program, I was an adjunct lecturer in the Film & Media Department, and an installation artist with the collective The Illuminators. As a writer and photographer, my work has been published in The Christian Science Monitor and The New York Times. I’m currently working on a documentary film about my mother, an LGBTQ+ rights activist who just turned 80, and why the state of Oklahoma is so particularly trans and gender expansive phobic.
